Apple TV 4K (4th Gen) and HomePod Mini 2 Launched in India with Siri AI: Price and Specifications

Apple has expanded its home entertainment lineup with the launch of the new Apple TV 4K (4th generation) and HomePod mini 2. The Cupertino-based tech giant states that both devices feature upgraded hardware, smarter voice control, and an enhanced audio experience compared to their predecessors. The new Apple TV 4K is powered by the A19 chip and introduces a new Siri AI experience, making it easier for users to discover content while also supporting hands-free voice control. Meanwhile, the HomePod mini 2 arrives with new color options and improved audio capabilities, also featuring Siri AI integration.

Pricing and Availability in India
The 4th-generation Apple TV 4K is priced at ₹39,900 in India and will be available starting November 13.

The HomePod mini 2 is priced at ₹18,900 and will be available starting October 30. It comes in five color options: Pink, Green, Blue, White, and Midnight.

Features and Specifications of the Apple TV 4K (4th Generation)
The 4th-generation Apple TV 4K is equipped with the A19 chip. According to Apple, this chip delivers up to 50% faster CPU performance and up to twice the GPU performance compared to the previous generation. Additionally, the streaming device includes a dedicated AV1 decoder for more efficient video streaming.

It also supports Siri AI. Users can leverage Apple’s upgraded voice assistant to discover movies and TV shows, receive recommendations, and engage in conversational interactions. Furthermore, users can ask follow-up questions about the content they are watching, with answers displayed as concise on-screen overlays.

To ensure a superior interactive experience, the 4th-generation Apple TV 4K features three built-in far-field microphones. This streaming device comes with an upgraded remote that includes new “Find My” and “Precision Finding” capabilities. For audio, you can pair four HomePod mini 2 or HomePod (2nd generation) speakers to create a surround-sound system.

The new Apple TV 4K supports Apple Fitness+, Apple Arcade, FaceTime calls via Continuity Camera, and personalized photo screensavers.

HomePod mini 2 Features and Specifications
The HomePod mini 2 is powered by Apple’s S10 chip. According to Apple, it utilizes computational audio technology to optimize sound in real time and supports 360-degree surround audio. Consequently, it can be used as a standalone unit, paired to create a stereo setup, or integrated into a multi-room audio system. Users can also pair four HomePod mini 2 speakers with the new Apple TV 4K (4th generation) to create a surround sound system.

The new speaker features an added “Sound Glow” function. As the name suggests, it incorporates lighting effects into music playback, with the top of the speaker flashing and glowing in sync with the rhythm of the bass and treble. Users can also select ambient sounds—such as the sound of rain—to accompany the atmospheric lighting effects.

Although Siri AI is not pre-installed at this time, Apple has confirmed that it will be added via a future software update, enabling more natural conversations, a personalized assistant, and improved music discovery. The HomePod mini 2 also functions as a smart home hub, allowing users to control compatible accessories, run automation routines, and manage scenes.

Apple states that the HomePod mini 2 works with compatible Apple Home-enabled accessories, including video doorbells and cameras.
